CASology Week #117 Candy

It's time for another CASology cue card:

And here is my card:

Supplies:  Cardstock [Neenah, Recollections], Candy Corn Collage die [Papertrey Ink], Stamps [Milk and Cookies] Lawn Fawn.

This was a teeny bit fiddly to put together as I had to  die cut the collage die three times and keep all the little bits.  I accomplished this by cutting it once in white.  I removed it from the plate and then once each in yellow and orange on opposite ends of the plate.  I took the plate to my desk and used my Pick-Me-Up stick from Silhouette to pick up and place all the bits.  It actually went pretty fast!

Our sponsor this week is Stamplorations.  Have you seen their poinsettia stamp set?  I think it would be just so much fun to colour!

CASology Week 116 Splatter!

It's time for another CASology cue card:

And here is my 3" x 4" card:
Supplies:  Stamps and dies [Mama Elephant/Simon Says Stamp], Red Cherry Colour Shine Mist by Heidi Swapp

This cue card caused me a bit of stress.  Random is just not in my usable vocabulary.  It makes me uncomfortable.  So I approached this cue card with some a great deal of trepidation.  I used some Heidi Swapp colour mist in Sweet Cherry for the splatter part.  I did test it out on some paper first to be sure I didn't "glop" it on my card front.  I did end up getting a few larger splats so I covered them up with a shape from the Mama Elephant/Simon Says Stamp collaboration stamp set and die.  The red faded a bit and looks pink but this girl has had enough random for today so you are just going to have to like it or lump it!  :)

Just for fun, here is a second card [that I did first of course].  I used Heidi Swapp White colour shine mist.  It faded, too, even though I shook it like forever to try to mix it and tested it on black card stock and ...... [you get the picture].  It almost looks like snow even though I was going for stars.  Sigh!

Kind of fun to see how the sweet spot for the sentiment ended up being in different places for the two cards, eh?  This card is 3 1/2" x 5" in case you were wondering!

This week's sponsor is Melon Door Lighthouse.  Christine has some seriously adorable images.  I LOVE this pumpkin.

CASology Week #115 :: Chocolate!

It's time for another CASology cue card:

and here is my card:

Supplies:  Card Stock [Neenah], Stamps and dies [Mama Elephant Carnival Cupcakes, Lawn Fawn Chit Chat], Silhouette Cut File #43403].

I just love how Glossy Accents makes a stamped cupcake look almost good enough to eat!  This is a "tag card" where I cut two tags, scored one about 1/2" from the top and adhered the front tag to this scored tag only at the top.  Presto, you've got a fun shaped card!

Our sponsor this week is the newest stamp company on the block...Create a Smile!  They have the cutest stamps!

CASology Week #113 - Grass!

This week's CASology cue card is:

I had A LOT of trouble with this prompt.  I'm not sure why but I did.  I created at least 3 other cards before I got to this one:

Supplies:  Stamps and dies [Lawn Fawn].

Just so you know, this card is A4 sized [3 1/2" x 5"].  Love that size!

Just for fun, here is one of my failed attempts:

which is pretty similar to this card by Heather Campbell.  Sigh!  I guess the layout stuck in my head and once it was all done, I thought it look kind of familiar.  So I went to my Pinterest boards and there it was.  Rejected!  I can't show you the other cards because I destroyed them.  Sigh!

So I am really interested to see how you tackle GRASS!

We are sponsored this week by Stamplorations.  Have you seen their September release?  Wow!

CASology Week #112...Three!

It's Tuesday so it must be time for a new CASology cue card!

I went understated with my card this week.  Can you guess where my "three" is?

Supplies:  Stamps [Mama Elephant], Dies [Mama Elephant, Papertrey Ink, Lawn Fawn]

I coveted the Bootastic stamps and dies from Mama Elephant and had to wait a while for both to be in stock at the same time.  That witch girl stamps is totally adorable!  The sentiment is an original Silhouette cut file.

We are sponsored this week by My Creative Classroomhttp://www.craftclassesonline.com/!  Have you seen their classes....wow!
