I've been madly making valentines for my family. If my wonderful son was in town I would give this card to him. He is an expensive ferry ride plus another hour in the car away. Mail just doesn't seem to get to him so it isn't worth sending. If I'm really lucky he will come and visit over his reading break. I'm not holding my breath but in case he is reading this "I would love to see you kiddo!'. Don't get me wrong...he isn't avoiding me. He works full time and is taking 4 courses in his last year at UBC. I love what a hard working person he is but just wish I could see him more often.
Cardstock is Recollections, PTI Impression Plate, heart and banner die. Ink is PTI, stamp is PTI. Patterned paper is Crate Paper's Paper Heart. Sigh! Love that collection.
Here is a card I made for my lovely daughter who is just as hard working in her own right. She has had a serious disappointment this week. She applied to work at a lemon shark preserve in Bimini [apparently it was her a many, many, many others] and she was not successful. She LOVES sharks [okay I don't get that but she does] and has been saving scholarship money, her tips from work and birthday and holiday money to pay her way in Bimini. I don't think I've heard her cry that hard in years. I wish I could reach out through the Internet and tell those people how much this meant to her and how seriously disappointed she is. However, that said I do believe that everything happens for a reason and there is a some reason for this course change.
Here is a Valentine card I made for her:
It was cased from a card by Aphra Boyler. I love Aphra's style.
I used K&Company's Valentine paper and embellishments by Kelly Panacci, PTI's heart dies, a notebook punch and Bazzil card stock.
Tomorrow, I'll show my husband's Valentine [assuming I give it to him].
